National Film Award winner, actress Moushumi will celebrate her birthday with her family today. It will be a busy day, with cutting a cake and birthday wishes pouring in.
“A birthday means a year lost from one’s life and another to look forward to. Celebrating my children’s birthday gives me greater pleasure than my own. My kids, who look so happy on their big day, have so much fun”, said Moushumi while talking to The Daily Star.
“As in other years, my husband Omar Sani — also a film artiste — and my two children, will be the first to wish me. As soon as the clock strikes 12am my friends and fans phone in to wish me. Often people come over to my residence with bouquets to bless me.”
Dhaliwood superstar Moushumi made her debut in “Qayamat Theke Qayamat” where late Salman Shah was her co-star. The movie, which was a blockbuster earned her great popularity. Since then, her career has been on the roll and she has worked in numerous movies.
The actress won Meril-Prothom Alo Purashkar several times besides the National Film Award. She has also been appointed as Unicef National Goodwill Ambassador. In addition, she directed a movie named “Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti”.
The superstar also did several TV commercials. Her modeling career took off after winning the Anandodhara Photo Shundori contest. She now acts in TV plays besides films.
