India has voted 50 Most Desirable Woman of 2012 presented by Peri Peri Skinwear Company. Approximately 7.01 lakh votes received online on www.itimes. com/polls.
About being the Most Desirable Woman of 2012 Deepika said, "I do hope that my desirability comes from my work and the person I am and that it’s not just limited to the physical attributes."
According to her she came across as a person who is warm and real. At the same time, people aspire to be like her as she is a young achiever without a film industry background.
In the same poll Katrina Kaif ranked second and Kareena Kapoor grabbed third position. Recently Deepika won the Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress at TOIFA.
About Best Actress award she said, "Winning the critics at TOIFA is a huge deal."
Padukone has traveled a long way in B-town and worked in several movies like Bachna Ye Hasino, Cocktail, Race2, Aarakshan, Desi boyz, Karthik Calling Karthik Chttagong and many more.
Right now she is busy doing in shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela opposite Ranvir Singh.
Her forthcoming movie release is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ along with Ranbir Kapoor.
