Joya Ahsan is one of the best TV and film actresses of Bangladesh. The organizer of Cannes Film Festival said, "As a multi-dimensional film and TV actress we are inviting Joya Ahsan to join Cannes International Film Festival. "
Joya told, "I did not think that I will get invitation from such a prestigious film festival like Cannes Film Festival. It is a great reward in my career life."
Joya, the talented actress will fly to France in the middle of May. The 66th Cannes International Film Festival will start from May 15.
Director of Dhaka International Film Festival Ahmed Muztaba Zamal said, "Congratulation to Joya! Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festival. I wish her all the very best."
Director Amitabh Reza told, "I joined Cannes International Film Festival in 2011 but not as an invited guest. A Bangladeshi actress got invitation from this festival. It is a great pride for us."
Joya has won the Best Actress Award at this year's National Film Awards for her outstanding role in "Guerrilla". In her upcoming movie "Parle Thheka" she sang two songs, as the character demanded it. It was a leap for her but she did it. Besides working in a mainstream Bangla movie, she is also working with a Kolkata movie house and due to be released next year.
