‘Nothing in life is easy’: Katrina

Katrina Kaif has just completed a decade in the entertainment industry. Prod her to summarize the journey so far and she says, “I feel blessed to have been able to shine bright with the roles that fell into my kitty and to have worked with the kind of people I have till date.”
From being a model with zero knowledge in Hindi to an accomplished actress, Kat has come a long way.

But how has been the slogging phase to tide over her shortcomings, if any? “Every chosen sphere doles out its own share of struggles and hardships. If you don’t sweat it out, you won’t succeed,” she says.

Many Bollywood beauties are doing a slew of derring-do stunts on screen. While Piggy Chops has earlier led the way in Don and Don 2, now it’s Katrina’s turn to bring on the heat in the December release Dhoom 3.

But for those not in the loop, Kat has already walked the tight-rope of action sequences in Ek Tha Tiger and took the plunge in the deep blue sea in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara.

For Dhoom 3, Katrina who is cast opposite Aamir Khan, had to pick up paragliding lessons. “Actresses today are trying out action sequences not just because the script demands it, but also because a lot of them actually find it exciting and thrilling.”

Calling her mother her greatest inspiration, Katrina says, “We are seven siblings and I’m sure it was a tough task to manage us, but my mother did a brilliant job.” --Deccan Chronicle
