Every person has liking in some special names. In case of promising TV actress and popular model Anika Kabir Shokh, she likes the name ‘Nandita’ when she heard this name in a song titled “Nandita tomar kotha bhulini ami ekhono,” which was rendered by late singer Sheikh Ishtiak.
In fact, Shokh doesn’t know who is Nandita? But a liking is being developed day by day after listening the song. Shokh didn’t think that she would get the opportunity to perform in role of ‘Nandita.’ She has performed in this role in play “Ghotonachokre,” which script was written by Moin Ahmed and directed by Aniruddho Russell.
Shooting of this play was completed in a shooting spot in the city’s Uttara area last week. For second time Afran Nisho has performed against Shokh in this play. Nisho has performed in role of Ayon in this play.
Ayon met Nandita in a mistake. But Ayon wanted to leave in life of Nandita as he could never get her as life partner in the long run. Story of the play continues with climax.
While sharing her feelings to perform in this play Shokh told this correspondent, “I have performed in many characters till now. But I never think that I would perform to act in role of ‘Nandita.’ I have enjoyed working with Nisho bhai as pair again. I hope viewers will enjoy the play.”
It may be mentioned that Shokh and Nisho performed together as pair for first time in Anjan Aich directed play “Ekti Laal Saree Ebong.” Later they didn’t work together. This play, produced by Drik, is their second play as pair. This play will go on air in any satellite channel on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
However, Shokh has started works for Pallab Biswas directed drama serial “Relation” last week.
Naim is performing against her in this serial.
Today Shokh will take part in shooting for an Eid faction play in the city’s Rampura area where Sohan Khan will perform against her, Shokh said.
